I'd say it's their ...

I'd say it's their first album since Kid A (or maybe Amnesiac) where you have to give it a few listens and really pay attention to the sounds you're hearing to really appreciate it. But in the end, you'll be glad you put the time in.

Sorry for interrupting your conversation, but I have to say that your're so lucky, guys, cause you can at least TO PLAN on seeing them! If I were on your place, and Radiohead were coming to my country, I would run to see them live) they said they would never come to the countries of Eastern Europe for some political reasons.I hate to be responsible for my country's political position or whatever it is called. To see Radiohead live would make my dream come true. You shouldn't fail such a chance.

Everyone will tell you something else, but IMO their best album was The Bends, it's difficult to find a single song on there that I didn't like! It is however a completely different sound to King of Limbs. I started with OK Computer, but I think The Beds would be a better place to start, then OK Computer, then In Rainbows. If you liked TKOL, you'd probably prefer Kid A, it's much more electronic than their other albums.

Oh yeah fair enough. hmmmm there arent many bands with a similar sound to radiohead. But other semi similar artists are: Muse, Sufjan Stevens, Thom Yorke's solo album (hes the singer of radiohead), And some of my favourite bands are Tool, Pink Floyd, Animals as Leaders, Queens of the Stone age, opeth (quite heavy). So far I have heard King of Limbs, Pablo Honey, In Rainbows, and The bends. My favorite is In Rainbows. When I listen to the albums I hear alot of Coldplay mixed in with Bloc Party with a bit of Muse. The bands that I have seen live are Rush, Kim Mitchell, Eric Clapton, KISS, Buckcherry, Roger Daltery solo without the who, Megadeth, Lacuna Coil, Volbeat and Motorhead. Who have you seen?

I live in Brantford ...

I live in Brantford it's near Toronto. I was planning on seeing them in the upcoming weeks but there playing at a festival. I personlly hate festivals. There also playing in Montereal but it's too far. There also playing a gig in Auburn Hills Michigan. I was thinking about going there but I heard downtown Detroit is dangerous if you don't know where your going. Maybe i'll see them in the upcoming years. Are there any other bands similiar to Radiohead that you like that you could introduce me to?

I'm seeing them in November :) . And as to what your guitar teacher said that bullshit (sorry). How much of a fan you are is based on how much you like their music but yeah seeing band live is amazing. In terms of getting into radiohead I would personally start with their album 'Ok Computer' and then Kid A, Hail to the thief and amnesiac and In Rainbows. King of Limbs is in my opinion their least accessible album and should probably be listened to last.
